  • Do I need to make an appointment for a fitting?

    While we can often accommodate walk-ins for simple tasks like pant hems, we recommend scheduling an appointment for complex alterations, such as bridal wear, formal gowns, or full-suit tailoring. This ensures our lead tailor has dedicated time to provide a precise fitting.

  • How long do typical alterations take?

    Most standard alterations—such as hems, sleeve adjustments, or waist tapering—are completed within 3 to 7 business days. If you have a specific deadline, like a wedding or an interview, please let us know so we can accommodate your schedule.

  • Should I bring my shoes to a hem fitting?

    Absolutely. To get the "break" of the pant or the length of a dress exactly right, you should bring the specific shoes you plan to wear with the garment. Even a half-inch difference in heel height can change the look of the finished product.

  • Can every fabric be re-woven?

    Re-weaving works best on natural, high-quality woven fabrics like wool, gabardine, and linen. Knitted fabrics or very thin silks may require different "invisible mending" techniques. We recommend bringing the item in for a free assessment to see if it is a candidate for the process.

  • Can you replace zippers or fix snaps?

    Yes. We can replace broken zippers on everything from trousers and skirts to heavy winter jackets. We also offer professional replacement of buttons, snaps, and clasps to ensure your favorite items remain functional.
