Garment Restoration FAQ's

  • Can you actually get the smell of smoke out of clothes?

    Yes. We use ozone treatment and specialized deodorizing chambers that break down smoke molecules at the chemical level. Unlike "home remedies" that simply mask the smell, our process neutralizes odors permanently.

  • Is soot damage permanent?

    Soot is oily and acidic; if handled incorrectly (like rubbing it or using water), it can permanently stain fabric. Our professional restoration process uses "dry" vacuuming and specific solvents to lift soot particles without driving them deeper into the fibers.

  • How soon do I need to bring in water-damaged items?

    Time is critical. Mold and mildew can begin to grow within 24 to 48 hours. The sooner we can stabilize the garments and begin the drying and sanitizing process, the higher the chance of a 100% recovery.

  • What about "yellowing" caused by water stains?

    We use specialized tannin-removers and oxygen-based brightening agents to lift water lines and discoloration from linens and clothing, restoring their original appearance.
